Ghana hosts first int’l electoral symposium in the subregion

Over 100 officials across the globe involved in election management in various countries have converged in Ghana for the 17th International Electoral Affairs Symposium and International Electoral Awards.

This will be the first time the symposium will be held in the subregion.

The programme is scheduled for Monday, 28 January 2019 to 30 January 2019 on the theme: “Building Innovative Strategies for Better Electoral Systems Globally”.

Organised by the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) based in London, with support from the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana and the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), participants will discuss critical election management issues affecting various countries and remedies to ensure better election management.

Various individuals and entities who have played key roles in ensuring electoral integrity will be awarded for their contributions.

The award categories include Election Management, Citizen Engagement, Gender Equality, and First Time Voter Award.
