The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended an executive member of the party in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Bismarck K. Biakuse, ahead of the by-election in that constituency.
A statement signed by Bismark Aborbi Ayitey, the Constituency Chairman on Friday, 18 January, said Mr Biakuse’s suspension follows his anti-NDC activities ahead of the election scheduled for 31 January 2019.
“This letter is to confirm your suspension by the Constituency Executive Committee as an executive member of the Constituency due to anti-party conduct. Your suspension is in accordance with Article 46 of the NDC constitution on party discipline and particularly Clause 8(B) of Article 46.
“You were seen in the midst of NPP doing open campaign on the 16th of January 2019 around Roman Ridge crossing. Your suspension takes immediate effect,” the statement said.
