The Professionals for Change (P4C), a civil society organisation supporting the interventions of the Akufo-Addo government, in collaboration with the Young Kukrudites Movement (YKM), on Saturday, 16 March 2019 hit the streets of Accra to create public awareness about the achievements of the government.
The group carried placards highlighting some of the key achievements of the Akufo-Addo-led government in several sectors of the economy, after two years in office.
Some of the placards bore the following messages: “We promised to implement Free SHS to reduce hardships on parents, we have delivered”, “We promised to restore teacher training allowances to reduce the hardships on teacher trainees, we have delivered”, “We promised a one district-one factory programme, we are delivering”, “We promised to reduce the hardship in obtaining a passport, we have delivered”.
The rest include: “We promised to implement a national property address system, we have delivered”, “We promised to establish a Zongo Development Fund, we have delivered”, “We promised to issue National ID Cards, we are delivering”, “We promised a one village-one dam programme, we are delivering”, “We promised a one district-one warehouse programme, we are delivering”, “We promised a renewed focus on agriculture through the planting for food and jobs programme, we have delivered”, “We promised to reduce the hardship in obtaining drivers’ licence, we have delivered”, among others.
The group has also hinted at its intention to embark on similar innovative initiatives to help sell the good works of the current administration, as it believes that great strides are being made by the current administration to pedal Ghana from “the doldrums” to a “place of safety.”
