The Methodist Church Ghana, Wenchi Diocese together with the Wenchi Methodist Hospital on Thursday October 10 ,2019 honoured the Ghana Ambassador to Denmark , her Excellency, Amerley Ollennu Awua Asamoah for her immense contribution to the hospital and other health facilities in the Wenchi Municipality.
Speaking at the awards ceremony on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Mr Kwaku Kyei who is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the hospital said, we acknowledge that through the instrumentality of Her Excellency Amerley Ollennu Awua Asamoah (Mrs.), to the hospital has received donation of medicines, medical equipment and furniture worth over one million United States Dollars ( US$ 1,000,000.00) which have further improved the quality of health care in the hospital as well as the Wenchi Municipality and beyond.
Part of the Citation read, Methodist hospital excellence award presented to Her Excellency Amerley Ollennu Awua Asamoah (Mrs.) Ghana's Ambassador to Denmark in appreciation in your miserable support towards the growth and development of the Methodist hospital in Wenchi Municipality.
The Citation was signed by the RT. Reverend Samuel Fred Ansu the Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Church in Wenchi whose double as the Board Chairman of the Methodist hospital and the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Mr. Bennard Kwesi Bocthwe and read by Rev. Kobina Appiah.
Her Excellency Amerley Ollennu Awua Asamoah (Mrs.) expressed her appreciation to the Methodist Church and the Methodist hospital for the honour bestowed on her and called on the Wenchi citizens diaspora to emulates what she has done to help develop Wenchi.
The event was chaired by the Awerempimhene of Wenchi Traditional Area, Nana Ampoforo Senebour Yentoto II.
Among the dignitaries who witnessed the occasion are the Acting President, of Wenchi Traditional Council, Nana Asimpi Adinkra Kosopre III, some staff from the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, the Clergy, Chiefs and Queen mothers from the Wenchi Traditional Council.
Ambassador Amerley Ollennu Awua Asamoah (Mrs.) was accompanied by her husband and the Abusuapanin of Sofoase Yefiri Royal family, Dr Obeng Gyan Busia and some members of the Sofoase Yefiri Royal family.
