Wenchi Methodist Hospital Opens Ultra Mordern Physiotherapy Center

The Wenchi Methodist Hospital have opened an ultra mordern physiotherapy center to the general public to access quality health care.

The hospital has a vision of boosting physiotherapy and other healthcare services for the people across the country.

The physiotherapy services include
* Spine (neck, lower and upper back pain),
* Stroke rehabilitation,
* Sports injury,
*Therapeutic massage among other things.

The facility is well equipped with mordern physiotherapy equipment and adequate healthcare personnel to deliver excellent service to its clients.

The project is being funded by a benevolence of Wenchi based citizen in Germany, Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Wenchi Methodist Hospital and also the Lay President of the Methodist Church Ghana, Mr. Bennard Kwesi Bocthwe said the hospital aimed at improving and maintaining functional independence and physical performance, preventing and managing pain, physical impairments, disabilities and limits to participation and promote fitness healthand wellness.

He commended Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia for his generous support to the hospital and called on Wenchi citizenry both home and abroad to emulate  Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia to also come to theiraid.

For his part Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia said the physiotherapy center is not his first initiative project to the hospital.

He said he has already established a urological, orthopedic and a hostel facilities in the hospital.

Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia said the cost of the physio center is two hundred thousand euros.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi, Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie applauded the efforts of Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia for the support giving to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.

He therefore called on Wenchi citizenry both home and abroad to cast their eyes back home and help improve infrastructure and basic amenities since Government alone cannot carry the burden.

These came alight during the commissioning and hand over ceremony of the project in Wenchi in the Bono Region.
