38 year old Senior Accounts Officer of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Albert Ameyaw has submitted his nomination forms the election nomination committee to contest the parliamentary primaries of the party in the Wenchi constituency slated for April 25 this year.
He presented a banker's draft of GHS 25,000.00 and filled nomination forms to election nomination committee at the constituency office of the NPP at Wenchi on Thursday.
Addressing journalists after submitting his nomination forms, expressed gratitude to some youth group for their trust and confidence in him by endorsing his parliamentary ambition for picking the nomination forms for him to contest the parliamentary primary.
He assured the youth that when given the nod to lead the party come April 25 this year by the delegates to contest in December 2020 election and become an MP he would work hard to address the unemployment challenges facing the youth of the area.
Albert Ameyaw called on rank and file to ensure that unity became their ultimate goal and the only panacea to help the party retain power in the December 7 presidential and parliamentary election.
Mr Kwame Saara- Mensah who received the forms plus GHS 25,000.00 submission fee advised Ameyaw Albert and his supporters to be tolerant and unite in the interest of development.
Chairman of the election nomination committee, Nana Kwabena Danso Abeam said since the nomination was opened on January 20 this year five people had picked forms to contest of which only two people had so far submitted their nomination forms to the committee.
