Rainstorm Disaster Victims Receive Relief Cheques From Minister of Planning

The Minister of Planning who doubles as a Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency, Professor George Gyan Baffour has presented cheques of GHS 63,000 to displaced residents affected by rainstorm in the Wenchi Municipality.

A total of 42 affected victims received a cheque of GHS 1,500 each from the MP.

Residents of Wenchi Municipality were affected by rainstorm disaster in September and October in 2019.

The cheques were processed and distributed to the victims on Tuesday February 11,2020 .

The donation, Professor George Gyan Baffour said,is to assist in the replacement of destroyed households items following the rainstorm disaster which occurred last year.

Some of the beneficiaries was greatfull and commended the Honourable Minister for his kind gesture and promise to vote for him massively in the forthcoming  Prliamentary election slated for December 7 this year.

They also urged NPP delegates in the Wenchi Constituency to vote for Professor George Gyan Baffour in their parliamentary primaries slated for April 25,2020.
