The Minister for Planning and also Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency Professor George Gyan Baffour has disclosed that persons who have recovered fully from novel coronavirus disease stand a better chance of developing immunity than non-affected persons.
Professor George Gyan Baffour made the revelations on Tuesday April 21st, 2020 when he presented veronica buckets and some sanitary kits ro Methodist hospital at Wenchi.
The Legislature also cautioned public to desist from stigmatising anyone or group with regards to the current coronavirus outbreak.
The outbreak put the entire human race at risk and basically require the collaboration and cooperation he said.
Professor George Gyan Baffour further emphasized that it was important for people to understand that anyone could get infected.
People with confirmed or suspected cases therefore needed as much support and understanding as possible because no one was beyond getting infected.
The Minister for Planning also lamented that it was unfortunate for anyone to stigmatized people with confirmed or suspected cases regards to Covid-19.
The medical officer at the Methodist hospital Dr. Boateng Bosomtwe on behalf of the management and staff at the facility received the items and thanked the Minister for his gesture.
He also promised to make a good use of the items to curtail the virus.
Since the outbreak of coronavirus Wenchi Methodist hospital have screened 22,857 people with 2 suspected cases but the two suspected cases have tested negative Dr. Boateng Bosomtwe revealed.
