
Health staff in the Eastern Region have been warned to desist from engaging the media in conversations and discussons on COVID-19 other than education.
According to the Eastern Regional Health Directorate, the recent spate of media engagments that have set their teeth on the edge are becoming one to many and must stop with immidiate effect.
A statement signed by the Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Alberta Adjabeng Biritwum-Nyarko warned that “anyone found to have given any information to the media on COVID-19 without the express permission of the Regional Director of Heath Services will have his or herself to blame.
“This is the last note of caution on this matter. Kindly treat it with the urgency it deserves,” the statement added.
