
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is holding a two-day cabinet retreat at the Jubilee House in Accra, the Ministry of Information has announced.
This is to examine data so far in relation to the impact of the global plague across the governance sectors of Ghana.
The President had instructed all Ministers to report on the real impact of the covid-19 pandemic across all sectors and proffer recommendations for recovery.
The government will at a cabinet retreat beginning later today examine the impact and the recommendations that would be made and commence preparations of laying same before parliament during the mid-year budget review.
Ghana’s situation
Ghana has recorded 372 more COVID-19 cases, with the case count hitting 3,091, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
According to the May 7, 2020 update, nine more patients have recovered and been discharged resulting in 303 recoveries. The death toll remains 18.
The Bono region is the latest of the 16 to record its first case. The Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East remain the only regions yet to record a case in Ghana.
