
President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that universities and schools effective Monday 15th June 2020 will be opened to allow final-year University, Senior High and Junior High students to resume classes ahead of the conduct of their respective exit exams.
According to the President, final year university students are to report on their campuses on 15th June, 2020, whereas final year SHS3, together with SHS 2 Gold track students are to report on 22nd June 2020. Final year JHS3 students will report on 29th June 2020.
Speaking during his 10th national address on the fight against COVID-19 Sunday night President Akufo Addo, President Akufo Addo stressed that JHS3 classes will comprise a maximum of 30 students.
Senior High School classes, the President stated will have a maximum of 25 students while university lectures will take place with half the class sizes.
”For the avoidance of doubt, all other educational facilities, private and public for non-final year students will remain closed,” he reiterated.
President Akufo-Addo on March 16, 2020, shut down all educational institutions – universities, second cycle schools and basic schools to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
