COVID-19: Shortage of PPE, sanitizers hit UGMC

The University of Ghana Medical Centre(UGMC) which is one of Ghana’s treatment centres for COVID-19 is in dire need of Personal Protection Equipment(PPE).
The Director of the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research(NMIMR), who put out the information on his Whatsapp status, said UGMC needs 200 pieces of Disposable gowns and face mask. It also needs 100 gallons of sanitizers.
Ghana COVID-19 case count has increased to 85, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
An update on the website of the Ghana Health Service on Saturday shows a total of 514 new cases have shot the country’s case count to 13,717 with the active case count standing at 3,558.
Recoveries stand at 10,074.
