Victims of the June 3rd flood disaster continue to beg for survival as they sue the State and other state institutions for abandoning them after the disaster.
This revelations came out on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the disaster, after a pressure group, One Ghana Movement, filed a suit on behalf of these victims against the state.
On June 3, 2015, the nation was thrown into a state of shock and mourning, as flood water swept through the capital drowning and burning almost 200 lives.
In the middle of a heavy flooding and rainstorm mid-night Wednesday, June 3 2015, an explosion at Kwame Nkrumah Circle Branch of the GOIL filling station in the capital Accra plunging the whole nation into an official three-day national mourning.
The capitals streets after the accident were littered with bodies while some were found in drains taking authorities weeks to clear the remnants of the disaster, morgues were congested with bodies and hospital authorities were overwhelmed with the casualties from worst disaster.
The incident which happened in 2015 has imprinted sadness, and sorrow leaving indelible scars in the minds of Ghanaians.
