
A urine test conducted on Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei, the Pastor who was arrested for issuing threats on the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, has come out positive for two substances -tetrahydrocannabinol and tramadol.
Following the arrest of the tough-talking self-styled man of God on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 by National Security Operatives, some dried leaves suspected to be marijuana were found in his possession after being searched.
Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei was later made to undergo some tests at the Police Hospital for eight banned substances.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in cannabis. THC is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis.


On Tuesday, the circuit court in Accra presided over by His Honour Mr Emmanuel Essandoh remanded 56-year old Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei into police custody.
He pleaded not guilty to three charges to wit; threat of death, offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and possession of narcotic drugs contrary to section 2 (1) of the PNDC Law 236/90.
He was remanded to reappear on June 23, 2020. Detective Sargeant Frederick Sarpong is the prosecuting officer in this case.
