Compliance of COVID-19 safety protocols was outrightly disregard by some excited children at North Kaneshie last stop in Accra Friday as they lined up for their share of meat which was being distributed during the Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
None of the over 30 children had a face mask on, nor practiced social distancing which are among the safety protocols to protect one from contracting the novel coronavirus and spreading same.
Surprisingly, none of the elderly persons around could also ensure that the children practiced at least social distancing in this era of coronavirus pandemic.
Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu in a statement hard earlier advised Muslims to adhere strictly to all the COVID-19 protocols as they celebrate the Eid-ul-Adha festival.

Currently, Ghana has recorded active 3,223 COVID-19 cases and 182 deaths.
