YULETIDE; VRA/NEDCo assures of uninterrupted electricity supply but strongly cautions against illegal connections

Christmas and New Year festivities are here with us once again and holidaying or partying moments like these require adequate or constant energy especially electricity in our homes and Towns.

In view of this, the Volta River Authority and their partners Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA/NEDCo) responsible for the supply of electricity to about eight (8) regions within the Ashanti, Brong/Ahafo, Northern and parts of Western is assuring their cherished clients under their catchment areas of uninterrupted power supply during this period.

Mr. Edward Hanson, Techiman Area Electrical Maintenance Officer who doubles as Spokesperson for VRA/NEDCo speaking to the Media in Techiman the Bono East Regional capital ahead of the yuletide noted that even though they are going on an official break for the Christmas and New Year Holidays and would resume on 5th January 2022, all their essential services will still be available by a stand by team within every corner of their jurisdiction.

But he strongly cautioned unscrupulous citizens who may attempt to take advantage of this holiday season to engage in all forms of illegal connections to desist from it stressing that anyone caught in such acts shall be drastically dealt with in accordance of the laws of Ghana.

On his part, Mr. Bilienman Ntelenyi Techiman Area Customer Service Officer for VRA/NEDCo advised the populace not to wait untill the 1st before they all troop into the VRA offices to purchase power but take advantage of the various Third Party Vendors within their communities to get enough electricity to enjoy the festive season wishing their cherished clients and the general public a merry Christmas and a prosperous New year with a pledge to improve the more upon their services in the coming days.
