MTTD Commander in the Wenchi Division of the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate of the Ghana Police Service ASP. Mr Kofi Amponsa Oduro said the move is to instill sanity on the road by ensuing all road users comply with traffic rules and regulations.
The riders were arrested for not wearing helmet, using unregistered tricycles among other things he added. It is a continuous excercise the commander stated. Out of the 22 traffic offenders who have been arrested 9 of them have been processed for court while the rest are on the run Mr Kofi Amponsa Oduro said.
