The National President of the Cashew Farmers Association Of Ghana and also the Adumhene of Wenchi Traditional Area Nana Adu Baomponsem VI made the appeal on behalf of the association at Wenchi in the Bono West Region.
Speaking with the media he said the Farmers heard from news that there is going to be a tree crop board this according to him Cashew Farmers in the country are no in favour of any tree crop board but they rather want Cashew board.
We are standing by his words during he was a candidate before becoming a President Nana Adu Baomponsem VI added.
National President of the Cashew Farmers Association Of Ghana also remind the President to fulfill the promise of making every 3rd Tuesday in February every year as cashew day in the country.
He aslo appealed to the Government to establish a regulatory body to help regulates the price of cashew in the country.
Nana Adu Baomponsem VI finally commended Government for fulfilling some of the promises made to the farmers such as mass spraying of cashew farms and free distribution of Cashew seedlings to Farmers across the country.
Last year on February 20 President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launched the 10- year Cashew Development Plan, aimed at diversifying Ghanaian Agriculture in Wenchi Municipality of the then Brong Ahafo Region.
