Release land for development project-GHS to chiefs

The Municipal Director of the Ghana Health Service in the Wenchi Municipality of Bono Region has appealed to traditional authorities and other stakeholders involved in the sale of lands to protect the interest of the nation by stopping encroachment on government lands.

Dr. Prince Quashie said it was unfortunate that most government lands were now been encroached without due regard to future and developments.

He made the appeal at a sod cutting ceremony at St. Joseph's Clinic at Koase last Thursday.

The Municipal Health Director observed that some chiefs for some time now sold lands aquire by government for developmental projects to private developers without due regard to future developments such as the expansion of health facilities and other developmental projects.
