The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Reverend Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo has urged Christians and the general public to massively partake in the upcoming District Assembly, Unit Committee elections and referendum slated for December 17 this year.

The Presiding Bishop emphasized that the referendum is on Article 55 (3) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana to allowed Ghanaians to decide either political parties to participate in the local governance elections or not.

This according to him if you want political parties to participate in the local governance elections you votes yes and if you don't want political parties to participate in the local governance elections you votes no.

He reiterated that partaking in the upcoming District Assembly elections will help in electing the preferred leaders to lead the various assemblies to facilitate development in the country.

Most Reverend Dr. Boafo called on all Christians especially members of the Methodist church to go out on the December,17 to excercise their franchise.

The Presiding Bishop disclosed this in an interview with tmedia personal on Sunday at Wenchi in the Bono Region after an induction service of Rt Reverend Alfred Appiah Andam as the Bishop of Wenchi Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana.
