The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie has said that efforts are being made to implement all government interventions policies in the municipality.
He disclosed this at the meet the press series organised by the assembly to deliberate on government policies and development projects being undertaken in the Wenchi Municipality.
On education Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie said, the assembly has been able to complete three HIPIC abandoned classrooms projects initiated by former President John Agyekum Kuffour at Alhaji Benne Islamic Basic School, Model"C" Basic School and Wurompo MA Basic School.
In addition he said the assembly was able to complete classrooms blocks which was initiated by the previous administration at Amponsakurom,Imam Seidu Islamic Basic School in Wenchi Boadan amongst others.
The assembly also constructed about six pavilion classrooms at Buoku,Asuano, Imam Seidu,Twumkurom and Akrobi and also a KG complex for Model "C" Basic schools..
According to him the assembly was able to provide scholarships to some needy but brilliant students.
In the health sector Dr Afiriyie said the assembly has introduced polyclinic and telemedicine concerpt to eased the congestion at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
He further explained that various projects have been undertaken and these include the unpresidented construction of the Wenchi town roads and drainages, rehabilitation of subiri bridge at Amoakurom/ Twumkurom junction on the Wenchi Sunyani road amongst others.
Under Agriculture Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie said the assembly has proposed of making Branam an Agric City.
