Sunyani Tech. Uni. beefs up security after murder on campus

The Sunyani Technical University has enhanced the security system on campus following the murder of a security man stationed at the ATMs of Barclays Bank and GCB Bank in the school by suspected armed robbers on Thursday evening.

Management has appealed to stakeholders and the public to bear with them and comply with laid down security procedures in place.

“We further assure parents, staff and the general public of our commitment to providing a safe environment for teaching and learning. Since security is a collective responsibility of all, we appeal to each and everyone to report suspicious characters seen in and around campus to our security office or the police,” a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Dickson Kyere-Duah said.
