Assembly members urged to sensitize electorate on revenue mobilization

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi, Hon.  Dr. Prince Kwakye Afiriyie has urged asssembly members to educate their electorates on revenue mobilization to help improve internally generated funds for the assembly.

He said the assembly can only achieve its desiring development if only its financial muscles are strong.

It is for this reason that the Assembly will continue to find strategic and effective means to raise revenue, example is forming a Task Force to support the work of our Revenue collectors Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie has said.

The MCE stated these in his sessional address delivered at the First Ordinary Session of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly held on Friday 28 June,2019 at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

Hon. Dr. Prince Kwakye Afiriyie reiterated that this year, the Wenchi Municipal Assembly achieved 50.53 per cent of its total budgeted revenue by the end of May, this calls for the Assembly to review its revenue target for 2019.

Honourable Members, there has been a significant improvement in this year's collection compared to the same period last year he added.
