The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie said government through the scholarship scheme to ensure fair and equitable beneficiaries in all District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies.
Some 80 students who are pursuing various programmes in the various tertiary institutions in the country and residents of Wenchi Municipality applied to the assembly after an announcement on local radio station (Royals Fm) .
Dr Prince Kwakye Afiriyie said 32 tertiary students from the Wenchi Municipality have been granted a government scholarships from the Wenchi Municipal Assembly.
According to the MCE , the remaining 38 tertiary students who were late and could not benefited from a government scholarship package would not be left out.
Those who are not beneficiaries of a government scholarship package is expected to receive a total sum of GHC 18,600.00 from the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wenchi Constituency in the coming weeks.
